PEANUT

                                         The peanut, is a species in legumes. They are known by many local names such as groundnuts, earth-nuts, monkey nuts and pygmy nuts. Despite its name and
appearance, peanut is not a nut, rather its a legume. It grows best in light, sandy soil. They require five months of warm weather, and annual rainfall. Preferably they need an acidic soil to grow. Peanuts have many uses; they can be eaten raw, used in recipes, medicines and textile materials as well as in many other things. Its oil is often used in cooking. 
                                                        In Ayurvedic medicines peanuts are used extensively. They are used to help fight malnutrition. Some people have mild to severe allergic reactions to peanut exposure. 


PROPERTIES :- 

  • They are extremely rich in vitamins and proteins.    
  • They helps in getting rid of dry skin.  
  • Helps in healing stretch marks
  • They prevent our skin from wrinkles.
  • They have outstanding anti-oxidant properties. 
  • It boost up the energy level. 
  • It has anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-aging properties.

USE OF PEANUT IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) FOR FAIRNESS -

                    1 tbsp of ground nut powder
                    1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                     2 to 3 drops of honey
                     2 to 3 drops of carrot seed oil
                     Rose water

  • Mix all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Wet your hands and massage it gently.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.


2) FOR WRINKLE FREE SKIN -

                    1 tbsp of ground nut powder
                    5 to 6 drops glycerin
                    1/4th tbsp orange juice
                    2 to 3 drops carrot seed oil
                    1/4th tbsp fuller's earth (multani mitti) powder
                    Rose water

  • Mix all the ingredients
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse with water.


3) FOR ACNE -

                  1 tbsp of ground nut powder
                  5 to 6 drops turmeric oil
                  4 to 5 drops lemon juice
                  1/4th spoon fuller's earth (multani mitti) powder
                  2 to 3 drops Indian lilac (neem) oil
                  Rose water

  • Mix all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.

4) TO REMOVE DARK SPOTS -

                   1 tbsp of ground nut powder
                   8 to 10 drops glycerin
                   6 to 8 drops castor oil
                   6 to 8 drops lemon juice
                   Rose water

  • Mix all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.
